During centuries of baking tradition throughout the world, many cultures created a round shape with a hole. None more famous than the BAGEL with its unique flavour, texture and baking technique.
Flavour is our trademark ... it sets us apart from other bagels. That flavour has won us compliments from discerning visitors from New York as well as our local customers.
The key to our very special bagels is our manufacturing procedure. A 24 hours period of mixing, dividing, forming, proving, refrigerating has one final viatal step ... BOILING ... YES, BOILING ... our boiling cauldron imported from the heart of Manhattan is used by our bagelmakers in the final step of production ... just prior to baking.
The beautiful sheen on a NY Bagel, combined with the unique texture, are a result of this authentic time-honoured boiling procedure.
